C.J. Hales

CJ graduated from Utah State University with a BFA in Drawing & Painting. He now lives in Helper, UT painting full time and serving as an apprentice to Dave Dornan.”My intent is to better understand myself and my surroundings through paint. The time & space within which I work dictates the subject matter, and tools used. Inspired by impressionist masters, as well as American realism and contemporary movements. I’m fascinated with the alchemy of paint and strive to keep process on the forefront.Light travels in a straight line at a constant speed; Lines which are parallel in nature will recede to a vanishing point…..I hope these things don’t change.”
